Sting performed before 15,000 people in Belgrade
At the Kombank Arena on 17 September, British pop-star Sting held a concert before 15,000 people who sang along to his great hits – „Mad about you“, „If I ever lose my faith in you“, „Englishman in New York“. The flawless sound and amazing energy between the band and the audience marked the first half of Sting’s Belgrade concert. The second half was marked by the greatest hits of „Police“ and Sting, again with the audiences singing along for the most part. The ten-minute version of „Roxanne“ served as an introduction to a spectacular finale, in which Sting and his band played „Next to you“ and the hymn-like „Every breath you take“.
The band was sent off with standing ovation, with the audiences clamouring for an encore. Sting came back to the stage, with his guitar, and delivered a very emotional performance of „Fragile“.
