Welcoming ceremony for Serbian Olympic team
The formal reception of Serbian athletes who won medals at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro was organized last night in front of the National Assembly. 54 out of 103 Serbian athletes came back wearing the medals around their necks.
With eight medals won at the Olympic Games in Rio, Serbian athletes achieved the best result since the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988, when our athletes competed under the flag of Yugoslavia.
Water Polo gold, women’s volleyball silver, basketball silver, kayak silver and basketball bronze medal winners came onto stage one after another and thanked the people for their support and sleepless nights, and audience responded with applause and ovation.
