Gala concert on the occasion of Vidovdan was held at Kalemegdan
Gala concert on the occasion of St. Vitus Day was held on Saturday the near the monument „Pobednik“ at Kalemegdan.
The program at Kalemegdan was performed by the “Filharmonija mladih Borislav Pašćan”, choir of the Faculty of Arts – Zvečan and the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Banja Luka.
Minister of labour, employment, veteran and social affairs, who attended the concert, said that Vidovdan is not only the story of the Battle of Kosovo, but a daily reminder of how much we need each other and how, wherever we live, we have one word, one aspiration and one longing – freedom.
“Filharmonija mladih Borislav Pašćan” and the choir of the Faculty of Arts of Kosovska Mitrovica, performed comositions “Tamo daleko” and “Kreće se lađa Francuska” by Milorad Kuzmanović, ” Vostani Serbije “by Varteks Baronijan and” Marš na Drinu “by Stanislav Binički.
They also performed ” Godišnja doba – mart, april, juni, juli” Petra Ilič Čajkovski, Šostakovič “Valcer” from the film “Prvi ešlon” and “Oda Kosovu” by composer Budimir Gajić.
