EXPLOSION OF JAZZ AND BLUES IN KOSOVSKA MITROVICA: the 14th “North City Fest” from May 17th to May 21st
The 14th International festival of jazz and blues “North City Fest” was held in Kosovska Mitrovica and Zvečan from May 17th to 21st.
Eric Gales, Marko Ramljak, Alex Sipiagin and Sasha Mashin trio and Sanja Ilić and “Balkanika” performed on May 20th and 21st May at the main stage of the House of Culture in Zvečan.
The festival had accompanying artistic connotation: the first day of the festival “Artistic duel” was held between Art Brut and interval; On May 20th, an exhibition of paintings and drawings “Jazz” by Marin Milutinović and “Jazz musicians from Tara” by Dragan Bartula were held at the House of Culture in Zvečan; on May 21st, the promotion of the book “The healing power of the blues” by Tibor Nadj was also held at the House of Culture in Zvečan.
The organizers of the festival are the AZP and UNION M – Kosovska Mitrovica, co-organizer is the Student Centre Priština – Kosovska Mitrovica. The festival was sponsored by the EU Office in Kosovo, Telekom Serbia, Kosovska Mitrovica Interim Authority and the UNDP.
