More than 120 free concerts in five days on four stages
Belgrade Beer Fest, the most visited event in southeast Europe, will break yet another record from August 14th to August 18th – at Ušće in only five days on four stages more than 120 free concerts will be held.
This year Beer Fest becomes part of the new platform – CLOUD Festivals, which will unify three festivals at Ušće. Belgrade cultural network and Skymusic, who stand behind Cloud platform, will set new standards in organization and production of festivals in Serbia and in the region, so it is expected that more than one million people will visit Beer Fest, Music Week and Night of the music at Ušće from August 14th to August 30th.
To the visitors of all three festivals Cloud will provide access to VIP zones, which will be expanded this year and will offer better enjoyment both in concerts and in numerous beer brands. Tickets for VIP zones will be released for sale soon, and the biggest novelty is that with VIP ticket consummation of drinks will be unlimited during whole night (“All you can drink” concept).
Beer Fest’s music program for the first time will be held on four stages at the same time – Main stage, Alternative stage, Groove stage and Bunt stage.
Some of the biggest music stars of the region and of the world will perform on Main stage, and fantastic music spectacle “Rock opera”will open the festival this year. 120 performers will get on stage to perform anthological music hits of the worldly renowned rock stars. From 10:30 pm, for the first time in Serbia, the iconic guitarist of The Smiths, Johnny Mar, will be playing songs from his own albums as well as the biggest hits of The Smiths. First day of the festival will definitely be marked by world hits, and the audience will also enjoy the music of the greatest local bands – Artan Lili, Majke and Kanda, Kodža and Nebojša.
The legendary band Atomsko sklonište will open the second day of the festival, and Marko Louis, Kerber and Eyesburn will bring traditional sounds of trumpet, as well as reggae and hardcore punk sounds. Starting at 09:30 pm, American rappers Crazy Town X are coming to perform on Beer Fest for the first time, as a part of their tour marking 20 years of work.
On Friday, August 16th, visitors at Ušće can expect intense gig of local bands Sharks, Snakes and Planes, Bjesovi, Električni orgazam and Orthodox Celts, and the band Negative will have their first comeback concert in Serbia. Very popular rapper Vojko V from Split is coming from Croatia, as well as one of the most wanted bands in the region, band Brkovi, that humorously connects turbofolk with rock and heavy metal.
Young Johnny Ranković will be responsible for warming up the atmosphere on the third day, followed by the veterans of the music scene Bilja Krstić and YU Grupa. Magnifico, who is mixing funk, disco, rock, jazz and ethno sound in a very unique way, will bring the atmosphere to the boiling, and Damir Urban will perform hits from his three decades long career.
On the last night of the festival, the Main stage will be ruled by band Perper from Montenegro, and also Dejan Cukić, Bombaj štampa, Blaža and Kljunovi. For the first time on Beer Fest’s stage, once very popular Tap 011 will perform, and Elemental, a band that Belgrade audience extremely likes, is coming from Zagreb. Zion Train, the band from Great Britain, that for 30 years innovatively mixes reggae and dance music, is coming to take the stand on the Main stage.
On the Alternative and on the Groove stage no less popular leaders of the alternative music genres will perform, and the Bunt stage will be reserved for demo bands who distinguished them self during Bunt rock festival.
